  • £18 adult, £9 child, with a family ticket also offered. Booking is essential.

It is included in standard admission. Booking ahead saves 15 per cent, and English Heritage members get in free. English Heritage also warns that roadworks will affect routes to the castle and points visitors to one.network for diversions. The castle is on Church Street, Framlingham, IP13 9BP.

Landguard, Felixstowe: Haunted House and trick or treat

There are two separate events at the Landguard peninsula, both on the Landguard events listing.

The Haunted House at Landguard, Wednesday 28 October to Sunday 1 November. Felixstowe Museum gets a Halloween makeover. This year it is a horror version of Gulliver’s Travels, marking 300 years since the book came out, with a final voyage to “frightening Felixstowe”. There are animatronics, crafts, trails and a Halloween café. The museum says it is aimed at families “but not very young children”. £5 adults, £3 children, paid at the door; annual tickets are not valid that week (event page).

Halloween Trick or Treat at Landguard Fort, Wednesday 28 and Thursday 29 October, 5pm to 8pm. This is gentle trick-or-treating through the fort’s torchlit passages, with costumed characters handing out treats, for children aged 3 to 12 with an adult. The fort’s event page prints the prices as “Adult: £5.00, Child (3-15) £12.00”; check the split when you book on its See Tickets page. Spaces are limited each evening.

Both are at the end of View Point Road, IP11 3TW, next to public parking and the number 77 bus stop. For older visitors, the fort’s Ghosts, Gunpowder and Grim Tales tours start on Thursday 5 November, 7pm, age 14 and over, £15, pre-booked only.

Spa Pavilion: Phantom Panto

TaleGate Theatre’s Halloween pantomime plays the Spa Pavilion in Felixstowe on Friday 30 October at 2pm, doors 1.30pm. The theatre’s booking system shows it still on sale on 4 October at adults £17, children under 16 £13 and a family of four for £52, which the theatre says include all booking fees. Book on the Spa Pavilion website or call 01394 284962. The Christmas show is on our Felixstowe panto page.

Jimmy’s Farm: Spooky Low-Bang Fireworks

On Halloween night itself, Saturday 31 October, 4pm to 8pm, Jimmy’s Farm at Wherstead runs a Halloween-themed low-bang display set to music. It has a DJ, fire eaters, and food and drink. Its ticket page charges £12 adults, £8 children aged 2 to 16, under 2s free, and says the nights sell out every year. A standard low-bang night follows on Sunday 1 November. Every other display is on our fireworks near Woodbridge page.

Getting there and parking

  • Trains are off for the whole week. There are no trains between Ipswich and Halesworth from Saturday 24 October to Sunday 1 November, so Woodbridge, Melton and Wickham Market have rail replacement buses only. See our East Suffolk line closure report.
  • Easton Farm Park and Jimmy’s Farm have their own parking. Landguard has public parking at the end of View Point Road.
  • In Woodbridge itself, car park charges and the best places for a short stop are on our parking in Woodbridge page.
  • Roadworks: the Main Road, Martlesham one-way scheme and other closures are on our Woodbridge roadworks and travel page.

What is not on this list

  • No Woodbridge town event. Neither Woodbridge Town Council’s news page nor Choose Woodbridge’s events listing mentions a Halloween event for 2026 (both checked 4 October).
  • Pumpkin farms we could not verify. Other pick-your-own farms around Ipswich are listed on what’s-on sites, but we include a farm only once its own website confirms 2026 dates.

The rest of the week, including the Woodbridge Tide Mill, is on our October half term page.

Checked against each organiser’s own website on 4 October 2026.
